We at Norton Hall pride ourselves on the excellent standard of nursing care we provide for our 30 clients. Our highly skilled & qualified team of Registered Nurses specialise in Palliative/End of Life Care, Person-Centred Dementia Care, Tissue Viability, Continence Promotion, Medication, Nutrition and Infection Control to name but a few. Our nurses have the skills and knowledge to encompass every aspect of care required to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients. Our Postural Stability Instructor provides one to one and group exercises to maximise the full potential of each client in movement and mobility.
We as a team have worked extremely hard to gain recognition in achieving the Person-Centred Dementia Care Award, and also our achievements in the work completed to attain the Gold Standards Framework in End of Life Care Programme for Nursing Homes which enables us to provide as the name suggests a gold standard of care for our clients nearing the end of their life, something we are extremely proud of. The Care Manager with her background in both nursing and teaching ensures all staff have the opportunities to develop both personally and professionally.
Courses offer both internal and external range from First Aid to Health and Safety, promoting Privacy and Dignity, Safeguarding, Moving and Handling and NVQ in Health and Care. Our Registered Nurses also carry out modules of learning at Worcester University and St Richards Hospice. Underpinning knowledge and skills with theory, is how here at Norton Hall we achieve best practice in the care of our clients. An ethos of life long learning amongst the staff enables the team to feel knowledgeable, motivated and valued. This has a tremendously positive effect on our clients.
Care plans are individual to each client and are discussed with the client and/or the family as appropriate on a regular basis.
We have an excellent working relationship with our GP’s and our location enables us to access any services required at Worcester Roal Hospital with ease.
